Marie Sklodowska-Curie Field Doctoral Networks (DN) Program 2026 Call Opened!
Dear Faculty Members,
MSCA Doctoral Networks enable universities, research organizations, research infrastructures, businesses (including SMEs), and other relevant organizations to run innovative doctoral programs by forming international consortia. The objective of the program is to train creative, entrepreneurial, innovative, and resilient doctoral candidates; to enhance researchers' career opportunities within and outside academia; and to promote international, intersectoral, and interdisciplinary mobility.
Doctoral candidates supported under the Doctoral Networks gain the opportunity to receive training not only in research skills but also in areas such as entrepreneurship, intellectual property rights, the commercialization of research results, science communication, and open science. The program also aims to develop sustainable collaborations and increase knowledge transfer between the academic and non-academic sectors.
Through project proposals written in innovative research fields with no thematic restrictions, researchers who have not yet obtained their doctoral degree (doctoral candidates) will be trained. This training is expected to be designed through the collaboration of different academic and non-academic organizations (industrial enterprises, NGOs, etc.) located in different countries. In this way, experienced researchers have the opportunity to open research positions in their institutions for doctoral candidates to be trained in their respective fields, to fund them through the European Commission, and to conduct research alongside them.
Regardless of their nationality, the doctoral candidates to be employed in the supported projects must come from abroad to the country where they will be employed [there is a requirement that they must not have resided or carried out their main activity in the country of employment (the project partner) for more than 12 months in the last 3 years]. If doctoral candidates residing in Türkiye wish to work on such a project, they can apply for a suitable position in a funded Doctoral Networks project abroad. Doctoral Networks projects funded by the European Commission strictly announce their doctoral candidate job vacancies via https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/.
